This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?

1. You don’t need to “know how to pose.” I’ll guide you the entire time with easy prompts and natural movement so nothing feels stiff or awkward. If I'm not guiding, it means just keep doing what you're doing!

2. It’s about connection, not perfection. Wind in your hair, giggles that won’t stop, little in-between moments — that’s the good stuff. Come ready to be yourselves.

3. Wear something that feels like you. Comfort = confidence. Neutral, earthy tones photograph beautifully, especially in natural light.

4. Trust the process. The best images often happen in between the “posed” moments. Relax, have fun, and let it unfold.

5. Golden hour is magic for a reason. We typically shoot near sunset for that warm, dreamy glow — it’s worth the timing, I promise.

Most importantly — this isn’t about being perfect. It’s about capturing your story in a way that feels real, joyful, and completely you.

Are the travel expenses included in your packages?

It depends! My Mini sessions take place strictly in the LWR area (unless otherwise noted) due to time restraints. My Essential and Deluxe sessions have seperate pricing options to accommodate both the LWR area and locations that extend a bit further - like the beach. The Deluxe package is LWR and beyond! The Deluxe is great for beach locations like Siesta Key, Anna Maria Island, Longboat and Lido Key, etc.

If you decide on a package, but want to go beyond the listed location(s), there might be a small fee.

Can you recommend any locations?

I'd love to! My husband and I have lived in the area for 12+ years now. I have a never ending list of great locations and because of the beautiful area we're lucky to call home, there are always new locations to discover! If you have a vision, whether it's Florida's lush greenery, a dusty back road, an open field with whimsical tall grass, a dreamy beach session, or a fun downtown artsy/urban feel - I've got you covered!

I have nothing to wear - Help!

"What do I wear?!" This is asked often - you're not alone! What you wear can make or break your photos. Neutral colors photograph beautifully and don't compete with natural surroundings, while bright colors will make you stand out. Subtle patterns are okay, like soft florals, but I suggest staying away from bold prints like plaid, stripes, etc - they can look quite busy and take away from the aesthetic of the photos. I also recommend wearing something without words or branding prominently shown (like on the chest). One more thing I recommend- iron or steam your clothing- wrinkles will show up in photos!

For families: Your outfit choices don't need to match, they just need to go. What does that mean? Perfectly matching each other (ex: same color jeans, same color tee) can look a bit cliché and lack originality. Instead, I highly recommend deciding on a color pallet and staying within it. Complimentary colors, well, compliment each other! Play with textures - lace looks dreamy and romantic, satin looks polished and chic, linen looks effortless (in a good way!) and casual, etc.

If you're stuck, shoot me a message! I'm happy to send suggestions, take a look at your options, or help in any other way - it's part of the process and I'm here to help guide you! When it comes down to it, comfort over everything. If you're uncomfortable or constantly adjusting clothing, it will show in your photos. Comfort is key!
